The Department of Labor (DOL) recently released a new model general notice and model election notice for providing COBRA notices to employees. The updated notices clarify to workers that if they are eligible for COBRA when they lose employer provided coverage, they may choose to instead purchase coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace (formerly known as the Exchange).
